Mourad started his Djing carreer in the mid eighties playing everything from rare groove, soul , hip-hop and reggae to electro funk.By the end of the eighties and the beginning of the nineties Mourad came in contact by pure coincidence with early CYBOTRON( Juan Atkins&Rick Davis) work. From that day everything changed in his musical life.Electronic music made its way into his life and decided to never leave .
In 1990 Mourad moved to Köln  where a young scene made of young talented musicicans started to shake the grounds of an electronic music scene looking for innovation and recognition. By 1991 He moved all the way to Sweden, where he soon started toBroadcast a radio show called DANCE FLOOR CONNECTION STUDIO on Markfm, a small local radio station in his area.It didn´t take long till he got the chance in 1992 to start broadcasting one of the earliest radio shows dedicated to electronic music in Scandinavia. The station was CITYFM, in Borås and the show was THE STRANGE WORLD OF 12 INCHES.
As the strange world of 12 inches was(and still is) dedicated to the sound of house and detroit techno, Mourad started to produce and present another show dedicated to hardcore breakbeat and the harder end of techno called CITY FM GOES HARDCORE.
Despite a very busy schedule, playing in small underground parties both in Sweden and  Germany ,He kept a high musical standard in his shows that went to introduce many people to this controversial music we call house and techno.
Slowly the recognition of his talent started to make its way to him and gigs at bigger swedish events started to come. Gigs at the legendary Q CLUB in Gothenburg  and at other raves established his reputation once and for all.To top it all he got invited to play alongside Alexi Delano and Dimitri from Amsterdam at the DEEP party, which was at the time the biggest house event in scandinavia.

In the mid-nineties he met Christain”Calico” Lappaleinen and from this friendship was born the CHRISMOUR PROJECT. A musical project that saw the light of day in 1995 and gave the “summer night in Tunisia ep” (g-force 003)  and an appearence of both of them( mourad as a dj and christian as a live act) at the Hulsfred Festival. They shared the stage with luminaries such as LARRY HEARD, CARI LEKEBUSCH &BANDULU.
His International djing carreer took him all over Europe and all the way to the far East where he shared bill with the biggest names in the scene and which also gave him the oportunity to rub shoulders with his heroes( Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Armando Gallup,Farley Jack Master Funk, Dj Pierre, Darren Price and Subject 13 to name a few)
With the birth of His First son in 1998 Mourad slowed down on his local appearences
.
But kept the same busy schedule for his international gigs, Which led him to find a home for The strange world of 12 inches on the Geneva based MFM station. This marriage in heaven entered its fourth consecutive year. Not satisfied with his achievement ,he went on to secure another broadcasting deal with Selekta.com and which opened the doors to let his music reach the North American audience. In 2002 he got offered the opportunity to broadcast the show on INTERFACE PIRATE RADIO in the UK.

As a producer Mourad is involved in many musical projects but being part of the WRONG STEPS REC family stays as a top priority.
As a dj Mourad is known for his ground breaking attitude and most of all for his knowledge of dancefloors dynamics. His sets are described  by his peers as a mix of deep house and detroit techno soul. He is also known  for his versatility in switching styles and incorporating different musical genres in the same set. For him the most important thing is to be predictably unpredictable and serve both the feet and souls of the dancefloor squatters.
